'Ondulato' Marble Finish

ISC announces it is now offering a special finish called ondulato in Italian which translates as "undulated" or "waved" in English. It is a heat treatment applied to the stone which exaggerates any natural texture in the stone and at the same time closes its natural pores - making it resistant to liquid. It creates a somewhat rustic look, but less so than tumbled or antiqued stone.

In the photo above, you can see this finish on 6 different types of marble. From left to right, they are; Rosso Asiago, Biancone, Rosa Perlino, Botticino Fiorito, Giallo Silva Oro, Giallo d'Istria This finish is available for any size or shaped stone, even on solid carved pieces such as wash basins or stairs. Featured Marble - Blu Venezia

Blu Venezia is a limestone which is also classifed as marble since it is hard enough to take a polish. It has a beautiful subdued blue coloration, which is typically one of characteristics found in the most expensive stones. Nevertheless, it is very affordable and carries the "CE" mark.
