Italian Granite Special
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Italy is famous for its hundreds of varieties of marbles. Many people are under the impression that Italy holds only marble and no granite. Actually Italy is home to the quarries of such granites as Bianco Sardo, Serizzo Antigorio, Serizzo Monterosa, Serizzo Dublino, San Fedelino, AlpenWeiss, Grigio Malaga, Rosa Beta, Luna Pearl, Beola Argentata, Beola Verde, Serpentino Vittoria, Valmalenco, and many many more.
Enjoy this issue dedicated to highlighting some of the many Italian Granites available through ISC.
Monterosa Granite Monterosa
This granite also goes by the name Serizzo Monte Rosa. It is a granitic ortogneiss and the the largest grained of all the serizzo varieties. It has a mainly white-to-grey background with swirls of black biotite coloration.
It is perfect for all kinds of uses - both interior and exterior; including flooring, cladding, stairs, sills, countertops, tables, curbs, monuments and more.
Rosa Baveno GraniteRosa Baveno
Rosa Baveno is a mid to large grained granite which is homogenous in color and pattern. It is mainly red in color due to the high density of K-feldspar in its make-up.
This material is suited for all kinds of applications and uses. It is one of the more colorful and uniform of the Italian granites. ISC is also in touch directly with the quarrier of this stone.
