Solid Travertine Sinks & Bowls

A whole range of carved solid travertine and marble sinks are available for purchase through ISC. These affordable masterpieces are made in Turkey and both modern and classic styles are available. Featured Marble - Aliga Antigua

This marbleized limestone is called Aliga Antigua, and
has its origins from two billion years ago. It is made up of fossilized seaweed. This stone has two completely different looks depending on which direction it is cut, in this case, it is cross cut creating a pattern of circular spots, 1cm - 6cm in diameter. Cut along the vein, the slabs consist of parallel stripes, up to 50cm long and 1cm to 6cm. Within this stone, designers are happy to find colors ranging rose, to beige, to cherry red, to muted red. It takes a beautiful polish and can be cut with normal diamond blades for marble.

Water Absorption: 0.07-0.95%
Resistance Decrease when Saturated: 0.86-0.93%
Porosity: 1.7%
Resistance to compression (dry): 94mpa
Resistance to compression (wet): 83mpa
Abrasion Resistance: 1.62 Gr/cm3

Italian Lifestyle in the Emirates


ISC exhibited with Ro.Ni Marmi of Crespano del Grappa at the annual Italian Lifestyle in the Emirates fair in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The four-day fair was a resounding sucess and Ro.Ni and ISC came home with new contacts from the booming building markets of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
